Traditional
Traditional style photo books are perfect every day albums, suitable for a wide range of applications.
Pages are bound in the centre (similar to other books you may have at home). This results in a “gutter” in the middle of a double page spread, meaning that photos stretched over the entire spread will have some content lost in the binding. Photos placed near the centre margin may also be slightly harder to see, especially in thick books. The Nimsy Books team takes care to minimise the impact of the gutter through careful photo placement and expert page design.

Lay – Flat
Lay-flat style photo books are great “something special” albums.
Pages are hinged, and bound in the centre. This results in your pages lying flat without a central gutter (no content is lost). As a spread is made from two separate pieces of paper, a thin black line is visible in the centre margin. This means that photos stretched over an entire spread will have a slight break in the middle. All lay-flat paper stocks are thick and luxurious, these books are perfect for occasions that demand a touch of class.

Flush mount
Flush mount photo books are the ultimate in album quality and design.
Images are printed on a single piece of paper per spread, meaning there is no centre margin or gutter. This provides the maximum flexibility in page layout and is a perfect display for photos deserve a full spread enlargement.
Flush mount photo books come in a choice of 0.6mm (light card) or 1.1mm (rigid) page thickness – both of these options feature the highest print and ink quality available through our printers.
Suggested uses: Wedding album; professional photos; milestone birthday gift; any other occasion where only the best will do.
